
WRITE OUT LOUD
One of the coolest things about Sharpie as a client had nothing to do with the work. It was the fact that the clients were so dedicated they wore at least one piece of Sharpie attire every time I saw them. I’m not talking about shirts, either. I mean belts. Watches. Tie clips. It was really impressive.
As for the spots, the Pirate spot was the first one I ever ran in the Super Bowl. It came in at a quite respectable #17 out of 52 in the USA Today poll. More importantly, my mom was psyched about it. And the Milk / Toothbrush Mini spot was a finalist at Cannes. So that was cool too. Less exciting for my mom, but still pretty neat.
